A Day on the Elephant Conservation Experience
Daily Schedule Overview
Each day on the Elephant Conservation Experience is carefully structured to balance conservation learning, cultural exploration, and participant wellbeing. The programme operates within a fully supervised, safety-led framework where safeguarding and operational standards are prioritised throughout.
It follows the safeguarding principles outlined in the British Council Accreditation Handbook, with all activities supported by comprehensive risk assessments, licensed transport providers, insured partners, and strict operational procedures to ensure a safe and reliable experience.
Morning: Registration, Preparation & Conservation Briefing
06:00 – 07:00 | Wake-Up & Prepare for the Day
Participants wake at The Palm Residence and prepare for the day ahead. Wi-Fi is available from 06:30 for messages and communication with family.
07:00 – 07:45 | Breakfast & Morning Briefing at Coco Café
A freshly prepared breakfast is served at The Palm. Group leaders complete registration and deliver a briefing covering the day’s conservation focus, partner site details, and key safety updates.
Following breakfast | Departure for Morning Conservation Session
Participants travel together as a group to the day’s conservation partner by private air-conditioned minivan or coach, depending on group size, accompanied throughout by a dedicated English-speaking local guide.
Arrival at Conservation Partner
On arrival, participants are welcomed by conservation staff and introduced to the day’s focus, beginning a structured programme of hands-on learning and observation.

Closed groups remain together throughout the afternoon and travel in a private air-conditioned minivan or coach, depending on group size. Each group is accompanied at all times by a dedicated English-speaking local tour guide, who provides supervision, support, and cultural insight throughout every activity.
The afternoon is an integral part of the programme, with a supervised activity delivered each day to ensure structure, consistency, and meaningful engagement beyond the conservation setting.
